my first name is karina.

i was born and raised in the bay area.

i went to school in new york city.

i tried living in la but hated it.

i fell in love with life again in zurich, switzerland.

but then i fell for a stupid boy and stupidly followed him to london.

i shortly left and spent some time with family in wroclaw.

then out of nowhere, i got a job back in the bay.

but my nostalgia (and the cost of living) overwhelmed me there.

so i moved to austin, texas, because everybody said it was the next best thing. 

but it's really, really hot here.

some of my dream assignments are: portraits and editorials of male actors, musicians, models, artists, important figures, basically men of all kinds; long-form photo essays that take me around the globe; touring with and documenting intimate moments with musicians; anything having to do with gucci; a mr. porter cover story...
